It's a long way from Port Hedland to Broome.
We left Barn Hill Caravan Park around nine in the morning after one more superb sunrise.
Driving through the Pilbara is hot and dusty work.
The Kimberleys has had unseasonal rain and as we approached Broome patches of wild flowers became apparent.
I don't know what these flowers are called. Any help identifying any of them would be greatly appreciated!

Mulla Mulla, (above) probably the most common wild flower in the area.
Arrived in Broome just after eleven in the morning and headed straight for the markets.
The sky was overcast, the town much larger than I expected and well spread out.
I had a run-in with a local stall holder, the midges were out in full force, no ocean in sight and my first impressions of Broome are very negative.
Accommodation almost impossible to find and very expensive.
I am learning though, that first impressions are not always correct.
