The temperature - last night, plummeted to single figures. Today, although bright and sunny, had a definite chilly bite to it!
Tomorrow, we head off to the north of the state, until eventually, we hope to reach the forever sunny Queensland.
Except for some last minute packing, everything is ready to go and we should be heading off first thing in the morning.
Although we still have our roof top tent, this trip we plan to stay in accommodation, probably in caravan parks.
We're travelling light, a short getaway before we go for a longer trip to Perth later in the year.
The house is prepared, pot plants and the garden taken care of, and arrangements made to have what little mail we still get delivered to the house, collected.
I am looking forward to getting away for a while. It's been a very busy year. Finally, the Mister has retired and he has been patiently waiting for a space in our busy schedule to have a getaway. So we're squeezing a holiday between our son's April wedding and our daughter's June graduation.
