Almost at Wilpena

Hawker is the sleepiest town we've come across so far. Had lunch there but was a bit disappointed with the microwave heated bread roll and quandong tart.
At Hawker we gathered more information, this time about Lake Eyre.
The landscape now begins to change dramatically.



Historic remmants spot the road side.
The most memorable would be those of the Old Ghan Railway which originally stretched from Port Augusta to Oodnadatta.
It begins to become apparent the influence water has out here...either there is none, or there's so much of it that railways cannot exist.
