Has it really been one month?

Hard to believe it's been one month since our trip began.
Sometimes it feels as if we've just left home and other times...we've seen so much in the last two weeks especially, it feels as if we've been away from months.
Water, namely the type that falls out of the sky has been a theme in our travels. Up until last week, we could count the rain free nights we'd had on one hand, yes, less than five!
Then, on the nights that it didn't rain, we'd have heavy dews so we were endlessly packing away a wet tent and getting into a wet tent at night.
Two or three times we simply had to spread out our bedding to get the dampness out of it. In the end we found it best to place a woollen blanket under the mattress so that it was between the bottom of the tent and the mattress itself. This has certainly helped and it's a lot easier to hang out a blanket than pull out the mattress to dry it off.
Naracoorte Caves National Park, Kingston SE, Cape Jaffa, Coorong National Park, Menegie, Tailem Bend, Murry Bridge and the Mighty Murry River, Adelaide, Barossa Valley, Yacka, Melrose, Port Perie, Port Germein, Port Augusta, up to Wilpena Pound, then to Lake Eyre, Coober Pedy, and so much in between.
Nothing perpares you for the outback the first time...it is another world.
We are now in Port Augusta for the second time and tomorrow we head off to Whyalla, Iron Knob and Baron Knob.
Since we left Mount Gambier we have experienced so much. When you think it can't get any better, it does...
